Mutation details: BayGenomics ES cell line RRE056 contains a gene trap vector inserted right after exon 12. The vector contains the En2 (engrailed 2) intron and subsequent splice acceptor (SA), and beta-geo (B-geo) reporter along with the SV40 polyadenylation signal. The insertion site allows efficient splicing of transcripts from exon 12 to the splice acceptor in the gene trap vector, disrupting the conserved MCM box spanning exons 10-14 of the Mcm4 gene.

All BayGenomics gene trap mutations were generated in either CGR8 or E14TG2a (129P2/OlaHsd) parental ES cell lines, with the majority in subline E14TG2a.4. The specific ES cell line in which each mutation was made is not specified.
