Transgene
description
Transgene Type:    Transgenic (Inserted expressed sequence)
Mutation:    Insertion

Tg(Myhca-Casq2)418Egk expresses 1 gene

Mutation detailsThis transgene constists of a 2180-bp fragment encompassing 60 bp of 5'-untranslated region, the entire mouse calsequestrin coding region, and 863 bp of 3'-untranslated region linked to the 3'-end of the mouse alpha myosin heavy chain (Myhca) promoter and to the blunted 5'-end of the human growth hormone polyadenylation signal sequence. Immunoblot analysis of cardiac homogenates revealed that cardiac calsequestrin protein levels were increased in transgenic mice compared to controls. Two additional transgenic lines, 398 and 412, were created in addition to line 418. (J:50498)
