Mutation
origin
Germline Transmission:  Earliest citation of germline transmission: J:119476
Parent Cell Line:  E14TG2a (ES Cell)
Strain of Origin:  129P2/OlaHsd
Mutation
description
Allele Type:    Targeted (Null/knockout)
Mutations:    Insertion, Intragenic deletion

Mutation detailsExons 2 through 4 and part of exon 5 were replaced with an IRES-eGFP and a floxed PGK-neo cassette. The neo cassette was then removed in vivo by Cre-mediated recombination. Immunohistochemistry and western blot analysis confirmed near total loss of protein expression in homozygous mice. No GFP expression is seen in heterozygotes. (J:119476)
