Strain of Origin:  (C57BL/6J x SJL/J)F2
Transgene
description
Transgene Type:    Transgenic (Recombinase)
Mutation:    Insertion

Tg(CD207-cre)1Dhka expression driven by 1 gene

Mutation detailsA cre recombinase gene optimized for mammalian codon usage was inserted right after the ATG of exon 1 in a human BAC, which was then injected into oocytes. Insertion of the cre gene was confirmed by PCR on genomic DNA. Cre expression is restricted to all epidermis MHC-II+CD11c+ Langerhans cells but not other CD207 expressing cells. (J:126147)
