description
Allele Type:    Targeted (Inserted expressed sequence)
Mutation:    Insertion

Mutation detailsA variable heavy chain gene segment belonging to the VH558 family along with 1.3 kb of upstream sequence and 500 bp of downstream sequence was knocked into a region of the IgH complex that lies 500 bp upstream of the most proximal D segment, DFL16.1. A loxP-flanked neomycin targeting cassette included in the targeting was subsequently removed by crossing chimeric mice with Cre expressing transgenic mice. Targeting events were confirmed through Southern blotting and restriction mapping. (J:130421)
