description
Allele Type:    Targeted
Mutation:    Insertion

Mutation detailsTyrosine to phenylalanine substitutions at positions 112 and 128 were generated by targeted A to T point mutations within exon 7 of the gene locus. For targeting purposes, a loxP and FRT flanked neomycin resistance cassette was placed downstream of exon 7. The selection cassette was subsequently removed by breeding mice with mice that express cre within the germline. The presence of the point mutations did not affect gene expression as determined by western blot analysis of thymocytes. (J:132995)
