• Mutation details: A neo cassette was inserted into exon 4 interrupting amino acid thr-413 and leu-414. The absence of protein products was confirmed by western blot analysis on liver extracts. Northern blot analysis confirmed the absence of all Ugt1a family RNAs in homozygous liver. Conjugation activity using bilirubin or T4 as substrates was absent from homozygous liver extracts.
