Mutation
origin
Germline Transmission:  Earliest citation of germline transmission: J:135320
Parent Cell Line:  Not Specified (ES Cell)
Strain of Origin:  129P2/OlaHsd
Mutation
description
Allele Type:    Targeted (Null/knockout)
Mutations:    Insertion, Intragenic deletion

Mutation detailsAn frt-flanked neo cassette with a 3' loxP site was inserted downstream of exon 1 and an additional loxP site was inserted upstream of exon 1. Transient cre expression in ES cells ws used to remove exon 1 and the neo cassette. The absence of protein product was confirmed by western blot analysis on brain extracts. (J:135320)
