• Mutation details: Transgenic mice were generated with Cre recombinase expression under the control of the 2.7 kb Nodal node enhancer sequence. The transgene directs Cre expression in the node beginning at the 0 somite stage, but lacZ reporter expression in R26R/Tg2.7-Cre embryos is not consistently detected until the 2-3 somite stage.
