Mutation details: This transgene consists of a 2.2 kb fragment of the bovine rhodopsin promoter driving expression of a full length human VEGFA cDNA followed by an intron and polyA site from the mouse protamine gene. Three to four copies of the transgene were incorporated in this line. A strong mRNA signal is seen in the retina of hemizygous mice at 1 month of age.
