Transgene
origin
Strain of Origin:  C57BL/6
Transgene
description
Transgene Type:    Transgenic (Inducible, Recombinase)
Inducer:    tamoxifen
Mutation:    Insertion

Tg(Nes-cre/ERT2)4Imayo expression driven by 1 gene

Mutation detailsThis transgene consists of a 5.8 kb fragment of the rat Nes promoter and a 1.8 kb fragment of the second intron of Nes driving expression of a tamoxifen-inducible form of cre recombinase followed by an SV40 poly A sequence. Three lines were created (lines 1, 4, and 5-1) with differing levels of activity (high, medium, and low, respectively) and leakiness (high, low and none, respectively). (J:110145)
