Mutation
description
Allele Type:    Gene trapped (Hypomorph)
Mutation:    Insertion of gene trap vector     Vector: pGT2lxr

Mutation detailsA gene-trap vector containing a splice acceptor followed by a beta-geo cassette disrupted the gene locus by inserting within the intronic region after exon 6. Protein expression of both the alpha and beta isoforms of the gene product were 23-37% of wild-type as determined by immunoblots of ileal lysates from homozygous mice. This is a hypomorphic allele.
