Mutation
description
Allele Type:    Targeted (Conditional ready, Hypomorph)
Mutations:    Insertion, Intragenic deletion

Mutation detailsThe coding sequence of this gene locus is contained within exons 2 and 3. A loxP-flanked neomycin resistance cassette was placed upstream of exon 2 and an additional loxP site was placed downstream of exon 3. The presence of the neomycin resistance cassette created a hypomorph allele where protein expression was reduced by 80% in CD4+ T cells from mice compound heterozygote for this allele and a null allele.
