Mutation details: The mutant phenotype was discovered in a screen of macrophages from G3 progeny of an ENU mutagenized male mouse for their ability to control viral infection. The mutation has been identified as an A to C transversion at nucleotide position 1150 (Genbank: NM_010508), in the eighth of the gene's 11 exons. It results in replacement of threonine by proline at amino acid position 341 of the protein (T341P), in its extracellular domain.
