Mutation
description
Allele Type:    Targeted (Null/knockout)
Mutation:    Insertion

Mutation detailsA loxP-site was inserted upstream of exon 27 in a Hind-III restriction enzyme site, and a loxP site and a Frt-flanked neomycin cassette was inserted downstream of exon 27 at another Hind-III restriction site. The presence of the neomycin resistance cassette generated a null allele as determined by failure to detect full length protein in immunoblot analysis of homozygote brain extracts. (J:144280)
