description
Transgene Type:    Transgenic (Humanized sequence, Inserted expressed sequence)
Mutation:    Insertion

Tg(Pbsn-IGF1*)5305Ng expresses 1 gene

Mutation detailsA transgenic construct containing the human insulin-like growth factor 1 (somatomedin C) isoform, IGF-1des (that has a 3-amino acid deletion in the N terminus of the mature protein), under the control of the minimal -426/+28 rat probasin promoter, and carrying SV40 polyadenylation site sequences was injected into fertilized FVB/N mouse eggs. Three lines were generated (5299, 5305, and 6206). Founder line 5305 showed the highest expression and was characterized most thoroughly. (J:144539)
