Mutation details: LoxP sequences were inserted into a unique Pac1 site located 5' of exons 10 and 11. The human ERBB3 cDNA was ligated in frame into exon 12 using a Bcll site. The targeting vector also contained a neomycin-resistance cassette flanked by loxP sites and exon 17 and downstream sequences. The neomycin-resistance cassette was removed by Cre-recombination in ES cells.
