Parent Cell Line:  E14.1 (ES Cell)
Strain of Origin:  129P2/OlaHsd
Mutation
description
Allele Type:    Targeted (Null/knockout)
Mutations:    Insertion, Intragenic deletion

Mutation detailsExons 14 and 15 were replaced with a PGK neomycin selection cassette. The PGK neo cassette is spliced out during mRNA production and exon 13 is fused to exon 16 in the resulting mRNA. An additional six amino acids are added downstream of transmembrane domane 7. Expression of the mutant mRNA was confirmed by quantitative RT-PCR. (J:146953)
