description
Allele Type:    Targeted (Conditional ready, No functional change)
Mutation:    Insertion

Mutation detailsA loxP site was inserted downstream of exon 6, and exons 7 through 11 were replaced with the corresponding cDNA and an frt flanked neo cassette with a 3' loxP site followed by an GFP gene. Germ line, flp mediated recombination remove the neo cassette. Expression of the EGFP gene can only be achieved through cre mediated removal of the cDNA encoding exons 7 through 11. (J:147946)
