description
Transgene Type:    Transgenic (Recombinase)
Mutation:    Insertion

Tg(Prkcd-glc-1/CFP,-cre)EH124Gsat expression driven by 1 gene

Mutation detailsThis transgene contains the coding sequence for a chimeric peptide consisting of the alpha subunit of ivermectin-sensitive C. elegans glutamate-gated choride channels (glc-1) and enhanced green fluorescent protein (EGFP) /icre), followed by a polyadenylation signal, an IRES and the cre recombinase gene, inserted into the mouse genomic bacterial artificial chromosome (BAC) RP23-283B12 at the ATG transcription initiation codon of the protein kinase C, delta (Prkcd) gene so that expression of the reporter and recombinase genes is driven by the regulatory sequences of the mouse gene. The GENSAT modified bacterial artificial chromosome (BAC) BX816 was used to generate this transgenic line. (J:100256)
