Strain of Origin:  C57BL/6NTac
Transgene
description
Transgene Type:    Transgenic (Hypomorph, Inserted expressed sequence)
Mutation:    Insertion

Mutation detailsTwo tandem copies of concatenated transgene consisting of human CYP2J2 cDNA with mouse alpha-MHC promoter and human growth hormone intron and polyA sequence was inserted into intron of mouse Rfx4 gene. This transgene is one of six lines described in J:101489. Northern blot analysis revealed that variant form of the transcript RFX4_v3 expression was absent in brain whereas other two forms, variant 1 and 2, expression were not affected. This is an isoform specific null allele. (J:84751)
