Mutation
description
Allele Type:    Gene trapped (Null/knockout)
Mutation:    Insertion of gene trap vector     Vector: pGT0pfs     Vector Type: gene trap

Mutation detailsTrapped gene association determined by genome coordinate overlap and strand. This gene trap is inserted approximately 3819 nucleotides 3' to exon 37. The gene trap insertion interrupts a predicted armadillo fold and leads to a truncated protein, preserving 1,447 amino acids upstream of the insertion. The truncation will result in the loss of the USP_3 domain required for catalytic activity. No full-length protein is detectable but a beta-geo fusion protein is detected that is not catalytically active. (J:303991)

Notes
All BayGenomics gene trap mutations were generated in either CGR8 or E14TG2a (129P2/OlaHsd) parental ES cell lines, with the majority in subline E14TG2a.4. The specific ES cell line in which each mutation was made is not specified.
