Sequencing 5'-rapid amplification of the cDNA ends indicates that the gene trap vector pGT1dTMpfs inserted between exon 1 and exon 2. Western blot analysis on forebrain extracts confirmed the absence of protein expression. qPCR and Western blots confirmed absence of mRNA and protein expression in various tissues.
