Mutation: |
Insertion of gene trap vector
Vector: pGT0Lxf
Vector Type: gene trap
Mutation details: A gene trap vector (pGT0lxf) consisting of an En2 splicing acceptor sequence (SA), beta-geo (lacZ fused with neomycin transphosphorylase fusion gene) and SV40 poly(A) site (pA), was inserted into intron 2. Western blot analysis confirmed the absence of protein expression in the small intestine of homozygous mutant mice, suggesting that this likely a null allele.

All BayGenomics gene trap mutations were generated in either CGR8 or E14TG2a (129P2/OlaHsd) parental ES cell lines, with the majority in subline E14TG2a.4. The specific ES cell line in which each mutation was made is not specified.
