Transgene
origin
Strain of Origin:  C57BL/6
Transgene
description
Transgene Type:    Transgenic (Recombinase)
Mutation:    Insertion

Tg(Ppp1r1b-cre)1Meeh expression driven by 1 gene

Mutation detailsAn IRES-cre fragment with a nuclear localization signal sequence (nls) and an SV40 polyA sequence was inserted into a plasmid containing genomic fragments of Ppp1rb1 from 3 clones. The transgenic construct was injected into fertilized C57BL/6 oocytes. Two potential founders were obtained but only one founder was successfully bred to generate the line. Insertion of a single copy of the transgene was verified by Southern blot. (J:127863)
