Mutation details: A targeting vector replaced an ATG codon for methionine 20 of the gene corresponding to the start site for the 34-kDa liver-enriched transcriptional activation protein (LAP) to a GCG codon for alanine followed by loxP franked neo cassette. Western blot analysis in LPS stimulated peritoneal macrophages shows abolished expression of 34-kDa LAP isoform. 38-kDa Full length LAP isoform and 20-kDa liver-enriched transcription inhibitory protein (LIP) isoform are expressed at normal level.
