description
Allele Type:    Targeted (Reporter)
Mutation:    Insertion

Mutation detailsA targeting vector was designed to encode a sequence for the neomycin resistance gene with a polyadenylation signal (STOP sequence), flanked by rox sites (dre recombinase recognition sequences) and followed by the lacZ gene. This was targeted to the Gt(ROSA)26Sor locus in R1 ES cells. Following dre recombinase-mediated excision, beta-galactosidase expression can be detected in cells which underwent recombination.
