Transgene
origin
Strain of Origin:  C57BL/6
Transgene
description
Transgene Type:    Transgenic (Inducible, Recombinase)
Inducer:    tamoxifen
Mutation:    Insertion

Tg(Nes-cre/Esr1*)1Kuan expression driven by 1 gene

Mutation detailsThe transgene construct contains the rat nestin second intron enhancer fused to an hsp68 (Hspa1b) minimal promoter driving a 1.6 kb cre sequence fused to the tamoxifen-inducible mutant estrogen receptor (Esr1*). The linearized construct was microinjected into pronuclei of fertilized C57BL/6 eggs. Three lines of nestin-cre/Esr1* mice were generated. (J:156372)
