Mutation details: The construct contained a 2.1 kb fragment of the human KRT14 promoter, rabbit beta-globin intron, and EGFP/beta-actin cDNA. followed by KRT14 3' untranslated and polyadenylation sequences. Seven founders were obtained and 2 lines were propagated. Transgene expression occurs in mitotically active epidermal cells. For founder line 50, around 2-3% of total actin was made up of transgenic GFP-actin.
