Transgene
description
Transgene Type:    Transgenic (Recombinase, Reporter)
Mutation:    Insertion

Tg(Ebf2-EGFP/icre)1Ggc expression driven by 1 gene

Mutation detailsThe BAC clone RP24-283N8 containing 32 kb of 5'flanking sequence plus the first 6 exons of the murine Ebf2 gene was modified to insert the cDNA encoding a fusion of EGFP and the improved cre recombinase (icre) followed by the SV40 polyA signal into the first coding exon of Ebf2. This modified BAC was microinjected into the pronuclei of FVB/N oocytes. Founders were isolated and a line was established. The icre transcript distribution recapitulates that of endogenous Ebf2 transcripts at all locations and stages assayed. (J:156632)
