Transgene
description
Transgene Type:    Transgenic (Inserted expressed sequence)
Mutation:    Insertion

Tg(Fabp4-LEP)F8Ffc expresses 1 gene

Mutation detailsThe Fabp4-LEP transgene was designed with the mouse aP2 promoter driving the expression of the human leptin (LEP) gene. Fabp4-LEP consists of, from 5' to 3', an aP2 promoter/enhancer, rabbit beta-globin, human leptin cDNA, and human growth hormone (hGH) polyadenylation (polyA) signal. One line, F8, was generated. Expression of the transgene was detected in brown adipose tissue, all white adipose tissue depots and in macrophages. (J:67311)
