origin
Germline Transmission:  Earliest citation of germline transmission: J:158671
Parent Cell Line:  Not Specified (ES Cell)
Strain of Origin:  (C57BL/6 x 129P2/OlaHsd)F1
Mutation
description
Allele Type:    Targeted (Conditional ready, No functional change)
Mutation:    Insertion

Mutation detailsTwo loxP sites were inserted to flank exon 3 of the gene, followed by an SA-IRES-lacZ-neo-SVpA cassette and a third loxP site after the cassette in intron 3. Northern blot analyses revealed aberrant mRNA expression. Immunoblot analysis showed the absence of the full-length protein; a truncated N-terminal fragment was below the detection limit. (J:158671)
