Mutation details: Two loxP sites were inserted to flank exon 3 of the gene, followed by an SA-IRES-lacZ-neo-SVpA cassette and a third loxP site after the cassette in intron 3. Northern blot analyses revealed aberrant mRNA expression. Immunoblot analysis showed the absence of the full-length protein; a truncated N-terminal fragment was below the detection limit.
