Parent Cell Line:  RF8 (ES Cell)
Strain of Origin:  129S4/SvJae
Mutation
description
Allele Type:    Targeted (Null/knockout)
Mutations:    Insertion, Intragenic deletion

Mutation detailsA neo cassette replaced the promoter and exon 1 (which encodes the entire intracellular domain of the Clec1b receptor, including the YxxL motif required to activate Syk, as well as the transcriptional and translational start sites.) Immunoblotting of cell lysate from platelet-rich plasma of heterozygous animals showed that Clec1b protein levels were about 50% of wild-type and levels were undetectable in homozygous mutants.
