Germline Transmission:  Earliest citation of germline transmission: J:252016
Parent Cell Line:  Bruce 4 (ES Cell)
Strain of Origin:  B6.Cg-Thy1a
Mutation
description
Allele Type:    Targeted (Null/knockout, Reporter)
Mutations:    Insertion, Intragenic deletion

Mutation detailsAn EGFP reporter gene was inserted at the ATG translation start site in exon 2 in frame with the coding sequence replacing some of the endogenous sequence. Cre-mediated recombination removed the floxed neomycin resistance cassette inserted downstream of the reporter gene. Western blot analysis confirmed the absence of protein expression in the spleen cell lysate. (J:252016, J:252153)
