description
Allele Type:    Targeted (Null/knockout, Reporter)
Mutations:    Insertion, Intragenic deletion

Mutation detailsA genomic fragment, including exons 1and 2, intron 1 and part of intron 2, was replaced with an EGFP gene and a floxed neo cassette via homologous recombination. In heterozygous mice EGFP expression recapitulates endogenous gene expression. Immunohistochemical analysis confirmed the absence of wild-type protein expression in the ventral midbrain of homozygous embryos at E11.5. (J:175535)
