Notes |
Although this mutation resides on the X chromosome and has phenotypic effects similar to tabby mutations of ectodysplasin-A (Eda), in the absence of conclusive evidence - i.e., from sequence or complementation analysis - it cannot be assumed to be an allele of Eda. It produces a mild phenotype in heterozygous female mice and a more extensive phenotype, but milder than those of most tabby alleles, in homozugous females and hemizygous males.
