Mutation detailsA 290 kb deletion was induced by cre mediated recombination between Tn(sb-SBlac)C.176599bFsp and Atf2tm3Nicj . The deletion encompasses the distal half of the gene desert upstream of Lnp, Atp5g3 and part of Atf2. At E12.5 mRNA expression of Hoxd10, Hoxd11, Hoxd12, and Hoxd13 is absent in the anterior part of the limb bud. Expression levels of Lnp, Evx2, and the rest of the Hoxd genes are about half of wild-type levels in the developing the limb bud. (J:178930, J:192248)
