Strain of Origin:  FVB/NPas
Transgene
description
Transgene Type:    Transgenic (Inserted expressed sequence)
Mutation:    Insertion

Tg(H2-Db)2Bujf expresses 1 gene

Mutation detailsThe transgene comprises a 10-kb HindIII restriction fragment of genomic DNA from the C57BL/6 (haplotype H2b) mouse strain containing the entire, eight-exon major histocompatibility (MHC) class I H2-D gene, more than 4 kb of 5' flanking DNA including the promoter and all known regulatory sequences, and approximately 1 kb of 3' flanking DNA. Activated peripheral blood lymphocytes of transgenic mice stain with a monoclonal antibody specific for H-2Db and H2-Kb proteins. (FVB is of the H2q haplotype.) (J:18556)
Inheritance:    Dominant

Notes
One female (Founder I) and one male (Founder II) transgenic founders were recovered. Mouse lines derived from both exhibit the same phenotype.
