Mutation:    Insertion

Tg(Crx-cre)352Gla expression driven by 1 gene

Mutation detailsA construct with a 2.4 kb fragment of the Crx gene containing the promoter and proximal regulatory region driving cre cDNA followed by an SV40 polyadenylation sequence. The construct was generated from a plasmid that contained the Crx-Atoh7-IRES-cre sequence by excising the Atoh7 and IRES pieces. The purified Crx-cre transgene was injected into oocytes. 2 founders and 2 lines were obtained, crossed to GFP reporter mice, and analyzed for GFP and cre production. A representative line, 352, was analyzed in detail. (J:186563)
