Notes

Found in a stock homozygous for an ENU induced mutation at the haemoglobin beta complex (Hbb). The Hbb mutation arose from a treated 101/H male mated to a tester stock (PT) female. The sarcoma susceptibility trait itself may be due to an ENU induced recessive mutation; however tlss was first identified more than ten generations after the original Hbb mutant was produced. Probably spontaneous recessive mutation, but may be dominant with reduced penetrance.
