Mutation
origin
Germline Transmission:  Earliest citation of germline transmission: J:188802
Parent Cell Line:  E14 (ES Cell)
Strain of Origin:  129P2/OlaHsd
Mutation
description
Allele Type:    Targeted (Null/knockout)
Mutations:    Insertion, Intragenic deletion

Mutation detailsA loxP site and FRT flanked neo cassette were inserted upstream of exon 4 and a loxP site was inserted downstream of exon 6 via homologous recombination. Recombinase mediated recombination removed the neo cassette and exons 4 - 6. Immunoblot analysis confirmed the absence of protein expression in MEFs from homozygous mice. (J:188802)
