Mutation details: The human SYN1 promoter drives expression of the tet-transactivator from the pTet-off advanced plasmid and tet responsive element (TRE-tight) drives expression of a full lenght mouse Hexb cDNA. Expression is seen only in the nervous tissue. In the cerebral cortex, the tet-transactivator transcript is strongly expressed in layer 6b neurons.
