Germline Transmission:  Earliest citation of germline transmission: J:192388
Parent Cell Line:  R1 (ES Cell)
Strain of Origin:  (129X1/SvJ x 129S1/Sv)F1-Kitl+
Mutation
description
Allele Type:    Targeted (Null/knockout)
Mutations:    Insertion, Nucleotide substitutions

Mutation detailsExon 3 was replaced with a modified one with a premature stop codon. This mutation resembled the breakpoint of the t(3; X)(p25;p11) translocation. Flp-mediated recombination removed the FRT-flanked neo cassette inserted downstream of the modified exon 3. Western blot anlaysis confirmed the absence of protein expression in the adult cortex.
