• Mutation details: The BAC RP23-101K1 was used to sequentially targeted Hoxd9, Hoxd10, and Hoxd11. In all three genes a kan/neo cassette flanked by once only lox66 and lox71 was introduced into exon 1. This insertion introduced a small deletion/frameshift. In Hoxd9 and Hoxd10 the selection cassette was removed by cre mediated recombination before targeting of the subsequent gene. Thus only Hoxd11 retains the selection cassette in the final targeting vector and this was removed after targeting by cre mediated (J:198638)
