Mutation details: A loxP site was inserted upstream of exon 3. A neomycin resistance cassette with a 3' loxP site was inserted downstream of exon 3. Cre-mediated recombination removed exon 3 and the neomycin resistance cassette. The predicted product of this allele lacks the entire active site. Western blot analysis confirmed the absence of protein expression in mouse embryonic fibroblasts.
