Transgene
description
Transgene Type:    Transgenic (Dominant negative, Inserted expressed sequence)
Mutation:    Insertion

Tg(Amh-SMAD2*)2Tkw expresses 1 gene

Mutation detailsThis transgene consists of a mouse minimal Mullerian-inhibiting substance promoter (-180 bp), an epitope Flag tag, a C-terminal truncation of the human Smad2 gene resulting in a dominant negative effect, and a human GH polyadenylation sequence. The Amh promoter drives transgene expression in testicular Sertoli cells and ovarian granulosa cells. RT-PCR and immunolocalization confirmed expression of RNA and protein in ovaries. Three lines were generated: 1, 2, and 3, however line 1 was lost (J:129226)
