Mutation
description
Allele Type:    Targeted (Null/knockout, Reporter)
Mutations:    Insertion, Intragenic deletion

Mutation detailsThe targeting vector was designed to replace the first coding exon with a green fluorescent protein (GFP) sequence and a loxP-flanked neomycin resistance (neo) cassette. Mutant mice were bred with Tg(CMV-cre)1Cgn mice (on a C57BL/6 congenic background) to remove the neo selection cassette. qPCR failed to detect mRNA in mutants. GFP expression is detected in dendritic cells in both lymphoid and non-lymphoid peripheral tissues. (J:206430)
