Transgene
description
Transgene Type:    Transgenic (Inducible, Recombinase)
Inducer:    tamoxifen
Mutation:    Insertion

Tg(Adipoq-cre/Esr1*)1Evdr expression driven by 1 gene

Mutation detailsTo generate the Adipoq-cre/Esr1 BAC transgenic mice, the 245 kb RP23-90G21 bacterial artificial chromosome (BAC) containing at least five mouse genes was modified by replacing the starting ATG and 222 bp of the adiponectin gene with the starting ATG and sequence encoding the cre/ERT, cre recombinase and an estrogen receptor 1 (mouse) fusion gene. This modified BAC transgene was microinjected into fertilized 129 mouse eggs. Founder line 1 was subsequently established. (J:206506)
