Mutation details: Exon 2 was replaced with a modified exon 2 in which the nucleotide substitutions (AGT to GCT) result in the amino acid substitution of alanine for serine at position 38 (S38A). This mutation is predicted not to interact with endogenous replication protein A. Cre-mediated recombination removed the floxed neomycin resistance cassette inserted upstream of the modified exon 2.
