Mutation
description
Allele Type:    Targeted (Constitutively active)
Mutations:    Insertion, Nucleotide substitutions

Mutation detailsA serine to alanine at amino acid 783 mutation was inserted into exon 16 and a floxed neo cassette was inserted in intron 16 via homologous recombination. Cre mediated recombination removed the neo cassette. The mutation in exon 16 eliminates a phosphorylation site. Absence of phosphorylation was confirmed by western blot analysis. Total GABBR2 protein expression was significantly increased in homozygous mice. (J:205570)
